My son shot his second buck this year early in October and I shot mine November 6th. Feels good to have the freezer restocked! He was so excited
Iowa now allows straight wall rifle cartridges in addition to the shotguns we have always had to use, so I got a good deal on an AR15 upper chambered in 450 Bushmaster and I think it's a keeper. He was around 100yards out. Sent from my SM-G930VL using Tapatalk
Nice one Ronaldo. The other buck he was fighting with to break those tines must be a bruiser as well!
That’s old boy either kicked some butt or got his butt kick.... no matter... that’s a real nice one... you mounting him? A European mount would be pretty cool...he’s definitely got character... and story or two tell....
Nice buck! Looks like a fighter. Michigan now allows the .450 and now the .350 in the shotgun zone as well. Looks like it worked well for you!
Thanks guys! I am thinking a European mount would be alright on this guy, Chvymn99. That left side has 3 tines plus his brow tine broken. It would be nice if they were there, but this is the way he came..... Sent from my SM-G930VL using Tapatalk
That's the 2nd big doe in the freezer this year. I still have my buck tag and will continue to hunt to the end of our season.
They usually track and stand out better with snow, that looks like just the right amount. Not too hard to walk in but enough to see the signs.
Stuck to everything Tuesday morning making it tough to see in the woods. Killed the doe Thursday. Just enough snow in the woods to see her coming from a long way off.
Those big old football headed does sure can ruin a hunt with their sixth sense. Always good to take em out when the opportunity presents itself! Congrats
I miss hunting in the snow, it's been about 4 years since it's snowed where I hunt. Just a light covering to quiet things down and make the deer pop a bit is my favorite condition to hunt in.
Got this buck yesterday in central ny...160 yrd shot - haven't seen many bucks this year, but tons of does...
