I have an embarrassment of riches in oak firewood, way more than I alone will ever be able to C/S/S on my own. Here's my meager attempts... You are welcome to stop by and process firewood if you'd like.
those are some beautiful stacks mike im a little envious in a good to get that nice of a stack and oak is always a great firewood
When I see nice looking wood after splitting it I immediately think "Man that looks delicious!" If I could eat it, I wood......
Beautiful stacks! You can never have enough wood! Especially oak......I'd just take my time and do a little here and there. By the time you get through splitting it maybe the first stacks you made will be ready to burn!
Sounds good. What date? Lol! Awesome problem to have mike bayerl I’d be giving it my best try to process everything available. The hoarder in me couldn’t rest knowing it was there for the taking.
I'll split shipping cost with SD Steve...send a whole truck load! Down around the lake and up in the hills we have what's called 'burr oak', but, very seldom is there any in my stacks.
Maybe by next Spring we can do a proper GTG. I've go literally dozens of dead standing oaks and lots logs from various other species (red maple, beech, etc) that I've been taking down to make way for sheep pasture... I could sure use the help
Nice stacks . I have the same thing here we own 23 acres of forest around the house with hundreds of dead standing red and white oaks. I have been cutting and sharing for 11 years now and still have not put a dent in them. I walk around checking to find the ones that look like they are getting ready to drop and cut them. I do my stacks on 20’ pallets from work they come with the cover.
More red oak today. This tree fell over our sheep fence, but miraculously got held up between a couple of birches, so the fence was barely touched and the tree is nicely stored up off the ground until I get around to nibbling it into firewood.
