    Gasifier So very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is esp. when dealing with the children with this loss of a loved one. Kids are resilient. I am sure with your loving support they will get through this. It is your wife I am concerned about. She needs to grieve and work through this. It will seem that she is a rock, but then reality sets in and she'll need your shoulder.

    Dennis, Backwoods Savage we are here for you and Judy. Don't be shy, many heads are often better than one. My prayers are with you and Judy and your children. I can understand you taking her home insead of a rehab facility. I did the same for my wife. I'm an RN and ran a long term care 50 bed unit for many years. I also did a lot of home care nursing. To be honest, I knew she would do better by me than in a facility. With this virus going on, I completely understand you opting to have her home. I think you would had done so even without the virus threat. You should get some help if you can. Someone can help with the house so you can concentrate your energy on caring for Judy.

    I’ve accepted Jesus as my Savior and put all my Trust and Hope in Him. What I don’t trust is myself.

    While I’m confident in my eternal salvation because of Hope, an assurance of salvation and whether salvation can be lost is an issue of long standing debate even among committed Christians, a subject I’ve discussed at length elsewhere but that is way beyond the confines of this excellent current thread.

    The hospice workers I have met are kind and dedicated caregivers. Follow their lead. And for your father, a little bit of oral morphine on a schedule will make him comfortable. I'm praying he has an easy time of it.
