This Western Hemlock and Balsam Fir even when the bark is dry it does burn that well. Old growth Douglas fir the bark at the stump is 6 " thick needs high temperatures to ignite giving the tree protection from ground forest fires . But a full load into a hot fisher stove has been know to do significant damage to that stove ! The tree was still 4 ft in diameter at 90 ft .
Allan, some how I don't see you pulling one of those to you splitter with your winch. However the winch may be able to pull your splitter to the log.
Thanks! 70 hp makes a great size for a loader tractor. Fluid filled rear tires really add to the lifting capacity & control.
Dunno, my iphone doesn't take good photos compared to my real camera. Better than a phone from 10 years ago. That little truck a Bongo? Used them in Korea. When empty had to watch out on hitting the brakes, they would do nose stands!
Not sure if this is photoshopped (first pic upload so hope it works) - been floating arround on web.. good for laugh.. Tommorow is Friday one more day to go - then unpaid work starts - but only two days of that. Hope everyone had a good week. My motto dont worry - tommorow today will be yesterday. Weekend in CT is forecast to be nice weather..
Brought home a wood hauling toy today. It's only a 7k trailer but has a 4k winch on it and it pulls nice. I'm gonna build a side kit next weekend and haul some wood! Plus the price was right!
Drvn4 wood. Do you keep firewood right there in your beautifully hardscapped drive edge? Nate , nice to see you got an avatar.
It used to haul this but my dad quit drag racing. It's a 9 second car that is street legal. I almost feel bad hauling wood on it.
