Decided to post a picture of my dog enjoying the warmth of the stove. Currently burning some Cherry for the aroma. And before you all go complaining yes the stockings are far enough away. Been in the same location every year I’ve had the stove.
I like the design of that stove. What do you pay for one like that? I was just out looking for one and the store I was at wanted $5000 for it with venting
Be careful! That tree looks awfully close to the stove. Good thing you didn’t get any of buZZsaw BRAD locust mania or that tree might engulf in flames.
Do any of those stockings have my name on it? Ive been really really good! Just dont ask Ms. buZZsaw!
Gotta love dogs and wood stoves. As much as I love heating with wood and sitting in front of a wood stove my dog definitely likes it as much if not MORE!
My stove is a Hampton Wood Insert. Smallish firebox. Fits four to five 16” long 5” splits. EXTREMELY EFFICIENT. So far this season I’ve been burning no more than 2 splits at a time and have the automatic blower on low. That has been enough to heat both levels of my colonial house. Granted it hasn’t been overly cold yet but it’s been working awesome. Bought it here on Long Island in 2012 for $2800. That doesn’t include installation and the stove pipe.
The tree is fake because of the proximity to the fire. I would prefer a areal one but...... and I hate Locust.
Ha. I know it gives off great BTUs and dries quickly but I really don’t enjoy the smell I’m like to burn slowly during the day with the door open at times and locust stinks bad!!!! It’s a shame because I have an endless supply if I wanted
I agree, I have some bl that is over 2 years split/stacked. Takes off real nice mixed with dry oak in my fireplace. It pops a bit so need to watch how much I put in. I Won’t use bl in my firepit due to the stench.
