Ok.. Here's one for the night..

I'm coming home from work tonight, and as I cross paths with the State Police, they brake and make a U-turn.. I can't help but wonder.. hmm.. me??


Sure enough, they tail me while running the plates, and I start laughing.. I know what's coming.


So, I get pulled over because the passenger side low beam light is out. Noticed it on the way home from work on Friday. Only one trip for gas/smokes on Saturday morning, so I had some errands to do after work tonight. One of which was to pick up new bulbs (@$54 )

I think the officer was a bit taken off guard as I was still chuckling when he approached.


Probably not the typical response.


So, now I have a fix-it ticket to resolve.. meh.. was worth the chuckles to me.

He said I could have any PO, or mechanic sign to verify the fix. I think I'll find some random PO and ask for his/her autograph.


Edit.. Showed the officer the new bulbs after he returned.. he chuckled a bit.. but not as much as me.

 

Only 8 more days of work this year....4 of them are this week.

I landed on a chair rocker and did the damage, the only thing I wanted to clobber was me. Last side I wanted to hurt was my left side the '16 stroke did a good job on it. But at least I could hobble around.

 

Well it is time to take my pizzing pill and go to bed.

That's why I have a 351w in my ski Nautique. The next boat I get might have a 6.2 liter Ford v8, yes, the ones from the first gen raptor and current super duties. They go from 360-550 hp.

 

True, but if your plane engine won't run from when you try to take off, at least it's not a very far fall.

 

That's what I have in my Superduty at work...love it...always impressed how well 8000(+)lbs can accelerate

I'm lucky I guess. I fell from about the same height when I lived in Maine. I was tidying up the DirecTV cable after mounting the dtv dish to the chimney.
I just got knocked out cold. I got woken up by my Springer Spaniel licking my face. Good doggy Miss Beans.
It hurt like hell, but I was fine a few days later. I wish I healed now like I did at 25 yrs old when that ladder mishap occurred.

 

After Ford ran out of 351w blocks in 2002, you couldn't find a new Ford based marine engine for over a decade. Now that indmar ( engine marinizer) dropped GM engines because they were not making the power they advertised, and went with the Ford 6.2, it's easy to find a non bowtie based ski boat.


Ford did work in the early 2000's and there were 5.4 both NA and lightning pickup supercharged versions as well as v10 and 4 cylinder for other Marine uses but Ford pulled the plug on the whole marine division before committing. Now it's just marinizers that typically use automotive designs and set them up for boat use.

 

Don't I wish, this was a side effect of the stroke, the men in my family keep their pizzing ability in old age and my prostate is not enlarged.
