Here's the correct form for "hurt feelings". I have to follow protocall here according to the rules "I" am bound by at FHC and it's owner. This is the form used by many Federal authorities and is valid in all 50 states.
Just dealt with similar problems on Facebook Marketplace. Saw a nice 1996 Ford F150,thought it would be a good wood hauler, trailer puller. The ad even showed her address as being a couple of streets over from my residence. Sent message, lady comes back it's in great shape, it was her deceased husband's and she couldn't stand to look at it anymore bad memories. Then she said that she is in the U.S. military and has to sell within 10 days as she is being transferred and due to military security reasons she doesn't no where. I'm thinking here we go. Next she tells me she has arranged for Ebay to sell it for her and handle delivery and paperwork. I checked with Ebay, they do not do any such arrangements and said it was a scam verifying what I already thought. I emailed her back and mentioned Ebay will be investigating, never heard a thing back. Hmmm.
Someone pulled that exact same scam on me within that last couple of years. Well, they tried, but I bailed, smelled a rat.
I ran into this exact scam on an F250 some years back...when I searched the picture is was posted all over the country...I did find the original ad too...he was asking a price more in line with the condition of the truck (like new!) instead of the "suspicious" low price that the scam ad had...
Ding ding ding!!! I could find about 20 of those ads on FBM for compact tractors that are clearly scams. It's unfortunate, but easy to spot.
