Hasn't made it here yet...just lots of rain. If/when it does turn to snow, it'll be a mess cleaning up (dirt road/dirt driveway). The ground isn't even frozen yet so everything is just soft and muddy. Who would have thought it'd be like this on December 5th?
Yeah, it's one of those dammed if you do and dammed if you don't early season dilemmas. If we get that foot of snow they were talking about, plowing too much only digs up the driveway. Plow too little and if it hard freezes, you're stuck with the ruts till spring. Now they're saying we could get up to 15" by the time it's all done tomorrow. I didn't install the front-mounted blower on the tractor yet (ground is too soft) so I'll be clearing with the FEL and scraper blade.
It's just (finally) starting to change over here to a mix of rain and heavy wet snow. Just got done tying up some of the branches on my young apple trees so they don't break with the weight (lost a peach tree to that last winter). How are the winds down your way? Could get interesting with heavy wet snow and the high winds they're talking about. Thankfully all the leaves are long gone.
No wind yet but if it does come up like they say it will defiantly get interesting. I heard a few tress crack in the woods when I went out to shake the birches off.
No wind here, rain turned to snow here a few hrs. ago. Coming down pretty hard at 32*. Red Maple on the menu.
Wind is just starting to really pick up here. Dunno exact sustained and gusts as I never replaced the last anemometer that blew away. Local WX wind is reporting 20/35. Dunno how old or not that data is. No snow forecast for here. Although there is a chance of some flurries at the bitter end of the NEaster when the cold air rushes in behind it.

Yup, just before noon it turned. Just walked out to plug in Genny's block heater. The winds they talked about are showing up. Wet snow and high winds......
Wifey has been procrastinating making dinner. I just mentioned she might be working on the Coleman. I know hot to get her going!
It's going to be a mess plowing or blowing. I vote for your rear blade, pretty light to hopefully avoid integrating the mud with the snow.
We have 3-4 inches on the ground now. I saw an accumulation map saying 12-18". I don't see how that happens if this is over here by midnight.
