I got an early start cutting at my friend's house. A tree service took down a bunch of pine, oak, and a maple yesterday. This is before I started: The long oak cut up: The maple cut up: Then some friends of my friend came and took a pickup truck load of oak, and then the tree service came back to take the pines. So, I'm on a break now. Hoping the pine removal doesn't take too long.
Man I would snatch up that pine in a heartbeat. I love the softwoods and mixing it in, especially to start a fire. Plus the smell of the sap is uplifting.
I have a little pine in my stacks. Eastern white pine is probably the commonest tree in my area. Most of it gets chipped because nobody wants it. I would use it if I didn't have so much better wood.
~sqinting.....looking really hard~ Ahem.... excuse me, but I don't see no car there. I'm sure it'll make an appearance. Nice to have a saw that does what you expect of it. And really nice to have the room there to get in and cut.
Yes, the 250 is my friend now, after it's difficulties. I only managed to get three maple rounds in my car so far.
Done for the day. First load: Second load: All racked up: I left a bunch of oak and maple rounds under her deck, for an easy grab in the future. And, there is still a lot of oak on the ground left to cut, long-dead stuff. Once the snow melts.
I cant believe how straight that maple split! That is gonna look great in my stacks. I owe you Molly!
Very impressive, Molly. You did a great job, those cuts look really nice. Need to give that MS180 a workout too.
Nice score! Almost looks like the pickings are better there in my old home town of Nausea than here in the middle of the national forest.
Not at all. Left the first week of '85 and other than visiting family, have no desire to go back. I don't even recognize the place anymore.
