When I moved in '14 out of my big house, I rented a 11 yd. dumpster. Told the kids that anything we haven't used or thought about in 1 year, (besides personal items), goes in.....they had that  look on their faces, but finally got into it. We filled it to overflowing, and we have not missed 1 single thing since. That's now my determining factor when cleaning-up around the house.

Pretty good way to do it.
I have adopted a similar thought process,
but I do go a little more than a year..

OK,just because it was on sale, and I could.I ordered and purchased the smallest inverter generator made, that is approved to run electronics. Not rated to run at my altitude,so might run a bit rich, lol. When I get around to it,after breaking the engine in,will see if it runs, even starts the Harman. It is only 1000 peak, but does have a 4 stroke engine. We shall see, when I get around to it.

Weather was lovely today and we saddled up the old Green Mule (Chevy 2500 Burb 4x4) and hooked up the trailer.

Loaded the dumpster up and headed out and brought home our 3rd load of shells so far this season.....

The first two loads were back in October and the weather was quite nice (Oct.5th)
Clear today but chilly.....not cold, but certainly not warm at all.

Got the shells all unloaded and everything put away.
Tomorrow we have maybe a half day before the rains hit....Get the Munchy out and chew up a couple barrels full and get then into the basement....

    Fun stuff.

Last I saw my area is right at the line between the 6-8" area and the 8-12" area. This is the first snow besides dustings for the season. Regardless of where the snow is falling, it is expected to be a wet, heavy accumulation.
