I've really been impressed with the light weight and power of the Stihl MSA 220!

I have an EGO battery saw , and it's a little heavier than my 180. I can believe that Stihls are lighter! So handy for cutting small stuff on a sawbuck, for me.

Great video and firewood of course. Nice to make splits that fast and clean and ready to stack when you get home. Does he let you work the splitter Woodwidow?

Of course I am allowed but I normally take the pictures. I like the woodsplitter for making kindling because my hatchet skills suck big time. campinspecter usually splits the big blocks - I only tackle the smaller ones. When we are in production, @campinspector splits the blocks, I take them off the splitter and toss (sort of) them into the truck. Then while he is bucking or winching a big block to the woodsplitter, I stack what's in the truck.

There is a good reason why there are no pictures of me out there getting firewood. I don't let anyone else use the camera to take candid photos.

It was almost overpowering stacking in the back of the truck. Fir and cedar smell awesome but there is something special about pine.

What do you think your chances will be that those 6 rounds you left will still be there when you go back?

We left them sitting there Tuesday and Wednesday they were still there when we got out there. It wasn't a very well traveled route we were on.

Western white pine needles are bundles of 5, that looks like bundles of two. Plus the cones are hanging fruit, those look like they were pointing straight up.
Bundles of two might be lodgepole pine ?
    East coaster wild guess.

Pines sure do seem to bleed more freely than fir or spruce. Although I've cut a limited amount of fir and spruce .

Spruce can be really pitchy. The Douglas Fir isn't too bad. Hemlock is usually wet and heavy but not pitchy. campinspecter has pine pitch on his new battery Stihl. :hair:
