Family friend was diagnosed early fall with cancer (not exactly sure type or extent). He has been going for treatment and the past month plus has been rough. His family heats their 100+ yr old farmhouse with a Hardy OWB.

Yesterday about 20 friends showed up and cut, split and piled approximately 15 cords of tops, slabs and blocks left by a sawmill clear-cut operation about a mile away via muddy, sloppy fields and a oil well drive.

    Equipment included

White 4x4 105 tractor pulling my BriMar 6"x10' dump trailer
Kubota MX5100 with QD forks and bucket
    Kubota MX4700 with FEL
John Deere 5200 series with FEL
    At least 7 UTVs
Cat 10k pound (guessing) excavator with stationary thumb
Two buzz saws one mounted on a Kubota and one small Ford 1700 series tractor White, MTD horizontal/ vertical 22ton splitter
Multiple Stihl, Echo and Husky saws, 372s were the most used.
4 gallons of ethanol free mixed fuel
Probably a gallon, maybe more, of bar
    oil

We started cutting at 10ish a.m. and ended at 4pm with an hour lunch break. It felt great to give the family a winter of security. Yeah, I know 3 yr plan, but not every farmer looks forward to cutting and stacking in addition to raising crops.

More pics as they are sent, I didn't take a single pic or throw the drone up even though I had one there. We were hustling! The goal to get as much wood to the farm as possible. It was great to see the support this family has.

Awesome effort! Will it be burned this winter? If so, you really saved their necks!

Tops and blocks might be far enough along to burn halfway decent.
Back when here was rural mostly farming community there was a lot more bartering and sharing of resources.

Great work! Hat is off to all that helped make it happen. Coming from a small farming community I see it on a regular bases and gives hope for humanity.
