NICE! Cut em to length and split em once. I had very similar beams about 4 years ago.

I thought maybe, but then it almost looked like a huge scar in front of the fridge, so I wasn't sure then...

Automated log-feeding system not included. Manually inching that log forward several times an hour might get just a little tedious.
You could probably keep busy cutting rounds and splitting them between the fire tendings though ....

Have you gotten a "you suck" award lately?! If not, this score qualifies you for one... ;)
I bought some rough cut lumber cutoffs way back early on in my wood heat "career", before I found the 3 year plan religion...they were green...and proved to be exceedingly difficult to stack so that they would dry :hair: 1st and last load I bought...

I have to admit that I had no part for this project. I did influence them years ago and they have fully grasped the concepts. One son is a supervisor overseeing construction of huge projects. He loves this stuff. It is a chance for him to get his hands dirty again. I would have liked to have helped with this, but now I am limited to just passing bad gas. I am very proud of them all. One of my daughters, a nurse, can run power tools, hand and table saws along with the best of them. Now I watch the skills of my grandkids develop.
Here is an update of the garage build. Roof ready for shingles

We got our Christmas tree all decorated tonight.

It's extra fun with an 8 month old lab pup in the house. What a goofball. He does have a soft mouth so the glass ornaments he took off the tree while we put them up were unharmed.

Of course we ran out of stuffed Kong's to keep him preoccupied. Oh well, he ran his energy out and is chill now.

My kids are all 39-47. The oldest is about your age. Oldest grandchild is 23. What is nice is when I get a call, "Hay Pop" what do you think about this or that......

Yup my dad is 74. He had a big bypass and lymphoma in the last 15 years. Really took it’s toll. My daughter will be 20 in a few months. He can’t wait for when she goes there or I call him to come over for nothing basically. He doesn’t have anything better to do. I have a sister 3 years older and her kids are still not of driving age.
