Got a good 6 cords, tight stacked in rounds in the trailer each trip.
When all splits are stacked up nice & loose for air, gonna look like over 7 cords .

Neighbor has 6 or 7 birch he wants cut.
That'll add another 1-1/2 cord or so.

Will split & stack the last load soon.
Feels good to have it all home & most of it CSS.
    Trailer worked well.

    Low 20s last night.
Ground froze. Water puddles froze. Got up to 35°, windy & few flurries.
I think I got it done just in time :)

Picked 3 nice big ones for the last trees (near 20" & fun to split) ,
Rounds are so heavy, I just roll them on & off

Looks like that new trailer is working out well. I like the ATV stall. Great way to keep it protected from a load shift.

Working real well. room for atv & 1 cord of rounds :)
Need to re-enforce the latches on the atv gate/ramp.
One screw already gone from one latch, the bumpy road & the atv bouncing fore & aft.

Did cut a hole in the atv gate for the trailer hitch so it'll close without taking the hitch off.
Some tweaking to do, but it's working well. The brakes are a really big plus, + + .. ;)

Splitting vertical is faster. ;) :axe:
Was fun splitting the 16 to 20" rounds.

We grow all summer & shrink during winter .. :) LOL

It's a woven ground cloth called " Geotextile fabric"
They use it here for road building. Take off the overburden then the cloth, then buildup the gravel base on top of it.
Road work crew was working on my road, they had a partial left over roll. I asked & they gave it to me.

    Plans / thoughts are.
.....It's black , the sun will melt the snow faster in the spring.
.....Help keep the pallets drier , out of the mud & some isolation from the wet soil
.....Keep the weeds & grass from growing up thru the pallets & close to the stack.
..... Used ground staples so I can mow over the edge.

    Truth is:
It's my secret wood drying technique, as the sun heats the black cloth,
the heat raises thru the wood stack & dries the wood faster. Only takes
1 to 2 years for birch to season with it, (3 years for oak ) ;)

Lucky you that stuff isn't cheap. I have it around my tire waterers and under the main cow lane.

Good work Dave! I love your shed, property, quad, trailer, mountain, etc etc etc. You may want to in your spare time, and if you still have the pics handy, post your atv hitch/skidding setup. I know now that I have the grizzly, ive been looking at hitch options

You do that fast. It takes me 6-8 weeks to get a similar amount stacked up, and I'm getting the logs delivered in my yard.l
