    And that's why it's cheap.

It's not a truck. But I loaded it up (need to make some sides for it).

Dad said he is gonna leave it here for a bit :) I am hoping to work out a trade with him. My 400 Big Bear (has a plow), a couple Guns, and....? We are in the early stages, but he is open to offers.

That looks like a great wood hauler Dex. Just the right height and cap.

I put about that much in my 16cuft lawn trailer. Think I stack close to 1/3 cord in it

I keep forgetting to take pics of my truck haulin stuff dammit! This is a cool thread. I have to remember to stop the C.R.S. thingy. Now what did that stand for again? Hmmm.

Truck isn't loaded yet but just had a set of Firestone air bags installed today. I already added a leaf so the wood hauler can handle a lot more weight than it's plated for. 1405372672125.jpg

Not too concerned about that. I won't push it too far since I'm plated for 9900 and 21000. Just didn't like the rear sag with the stock suspension - had to bring it up to par with the rest of the truck.:D:D

I've found that with heavy trailers it's hard to stay under gvw even though I'm well under gcvw. Even with a bumper pull 10k if I put more than a couple hundred pounds in the back I'm over. I could plate the truck higher but I don't see the need. It will actually add a level of safety in my opinion - especially with my wood wagon having brakes on both axles.

Since I'm like a little kid that likes to play with toys I took it to the gas station and emptied the bags. I filled them to to 90 psi and it raised the back of the truck about 3" in 30 seconds.:D:D:D

    The air bags work great.
I use Goodyear air bags. Once the canopy door is closed, no one would know there's 1,700 lbs concealed inside. The pickup is 14 years old in this picture and has been hauling loads like this for many years.

It would be nice to have and I did look into it, but I couldn't justify the cost difference.

A friend of mine has the same setup and he carries a 12v compressor that works fine. It's not a large volume of air so that's what I'm gonna do rather than loading up then having to find a gas station.

That's what I would do also. I already carry one in my truck at all times for airing up trailer tires etc...... It has come in handy so many times I don't think I would be without one now.

On the Toyota it was trying to find the room., so the small 12 volt compressor works fine , just have to air up the tires before we go out!
