Yes, I have to remove a cabinet and then I can get it signed off. I did a test run to burn the factory paint odors off.

It has just now stopped being crazy windy. More twigs to clean up in the yard, but no real branches down. I did lose a couple of shingles from the crappy garden shed. I've got a few unused shingles in the shed, so that won't be an issue. I'll be using roof cement/ caulking to make sure they stay down when I fix it this week, along with the shingle repair on my house. I think it will be upper 50's and sunny on Thursday. That might be the best there is in 2020. It's already mid November...

Those starters are pretty good but when you strike on the box it smells horrible until they fully catch.

I used those in an upside down feeder and the woodpeckers would demolish them cakes in about three days. The feeder I had you could stack two cakes, one on top of the other and I might have gotten a week out of them. I should start that up again soon.

I did the same thing with my main floor pellet stove. Couldn't meet clearance to a wall at one side until I got heat shields. Even with those, I didn't like how warm the wall got, so put a shield on the wall (or rather, it leans against the wall - hence giving it space for air to circulate).

The only comment I have is that the fasteners that hold the ceramic knobs needs to be non mental so not to transfer heat into the wall/studs behind it. Long exposures of heat to wood will greatly reduce the combustion temperature.

Are mental fasteners an efficient use of time ?

Oh, I got confused, I thought it was Backwoods Savage that was talking about fixing shingles. I was a little surprised.

It's my wife's birthday today. I baked her a cake last night. I assembled it this am, it's a 2 layer cake. Strawberry cake mix and I put some grenadine syrup in the white frosting to make pink frosting. She wants fondue for dinner, so I'll be grilling steak and other things to dip in the cheese tonight.
