Thanks dex, My son and I had a great day on the water. Went to our favorite small mouth lake and whacked a few. Tomorrow its off to Lake McD where the wife can walk the nature trails and We(My son and I) can hit the large mouth.

In our other past life, we had a very capable lady in the pellet room name "snowy" from the west coast. She burned free nut shells in her pellet stove. She took ill. Has anyone be in contact with her or know how she is doing?

Loved the cooler weather we had the last couple a weeks. Down right lovely IMHO. Now its hotter and the humidity is ugly!! Hearing thunder in the distance too.

Sure hope it cools it off some!!

Big thunderstorm here. Got dark, outside lights came on and the Satalite went out. Dogs at my side. They have a inate adversion to thunder. So I took a nap.

Sure hope my sat don't go out. Watching the Yanks battle Darvish. Gardie just put one out for a 2 to 1 lead.

I did put my beer in a cooler just in case. Winds picking up now too!!

If what is here is heading your way, you should be in for some decent weather soon. It was 89 and humid yesterday. Now it's 69 and much less humid.

Next week they're calling for low 70s. I've heard a few folks around my area complaining about the overall lack of heat this summer. I'll take 75 during the day and 55 at night all year long. My AC hasn't had this much rest since 2009. The savings on the electric bill will probably be put towards pellets for next winter. Or beer. Not sure yet.

Good luck keeping your Sat. These storms this year have been intense. High winds, gully washer rains. Move fast, but often one right behind the there just as it is occurring now.

Yep, 75 and low 60's was sooo nice. Fish were about jumpin in the boat too.

I like these summer polar vortex's. But them winter ones kinda suck!!

I chuckled when I heard "polar vortex returns" a week or two ago. I hadn't heard that term until this past winter, and now it seems any cool down is a polar vortex.

I'm hoping for a "tropical vortex" this winter. If my logic is correct, that is the opposite of a polar vortex and it should be in the mid 60s all winter long. We may all be here next year bragging about how many tons of pellets we have left.

I must live in the right place. All the storms fizzle out before they get to me. I attribute it to the lake around the corner. I've only had a sat for a few months but I've never lost it. It got windy for a few minutes but it's been pretty still since then.

Just found out a friend lost their TV set. Must not have had a surge protector on it. Around here, all electronics and appliances should be on surge protectors.

It has been noisy here since 7:30 or so. The girls wanted their evening scratch early.

Surge protectors are like pellet stoves. All are not created equal. Some are basically just glorified power strips and offer little protection.

In a severe storm I often just unplug what I would surely like to keep JIC.

Another polar vortex. Had to close the winders last evening. And the wifey hogged the covers as usual!!

Only hit a high of 77*F today and humidity was just plain lovely! I like this here spring like weather and it can stay as long as its want to!! :D

Amen brother. It's been low to mid 70s during the day and 50s at night since Monday. It could stay this way all year.
