Just figured I would put this out there for all the FHC members in the MN / WI / IA regions. The Chisago County fair in Rush City, MN will be having saw races July 19th at ~2:00 PM Classes for stock and modified saws. The stock classes are usually quite popular. This is not a hard core format... It's for anyone that wants to race. All classes of size every 10cc, from 45cc through 6 cube and over. Vintage classes also.. This may be the wrong forum to post this in, but wasn't sure where it belongs... The family and I will be making the trip up there this year..
Right where it belongs I think. Sure wish I could make it out there. Got a little shindig coming up on Sun locally.
The nice thing about these Co Fair races, is all the stock classes and the good local participation.. The fellas up nort do a great job of supplying enough race cants to run everything from top handles to piped hot saws... If you can make it run, there's a class to play in...
What saws are you racing? Or should I say, what saw are you racing your chain on? I figure the stock saw comes down to chain and technique of the operator.
Eh... Whatever fits in the van... Levi likes his Deere's... I like the husky's and Dolmar's.. And 2 certain Stihl's... Who knows... Sorta grab something and run it!!!
Smoke Show and a couple other pellet members come to mind. Having trouble coming up with anybody who is a cordwood guy/gal tho.
Should be a bunch of AS er's and sawhawger's there.. Would be cool to have a couple FHC guys there...
I'd love to go but work has been much slower than same time last year, plus its short notice also.Still getting things done around the homestead that was put off last Fall.
The short notice killed any chances-- this is smack in the middle of a planned camping trip and the old lady would have me killed and stuffed.
I too was thinking about Griz but no idea how close it is to him? And it does not matter based on above post from him.
