The Car Hoarding thread

Just the remains of a couple pallets and some trimming around my property

 

Not my proudest scrounge but it scratched an itch. Box elder chunks, some ash poles, and at the bottom, plywood scraps for topping stacks.

 

Nice little scrounge of beech this morning.

 

False alarm for me today. I went to a Craigslist offer of a big pile of ash, but most of it was too far gone. I took a load of the not-so-bad. You didn't miss a thing, Mwalsh9152.

 

Sad that so much of it was left to rot. But you still got a nice load.

 

At least you got some stuff that was normal length!

 

Stopped by the town compost site and picked up some Mulberry I believe. It just doesn't look like the younger Mulberry I'm used to seeing.

Yes, it's not yellow enough for mulberry.

 

X3 for sassy. Nice ones too! No bug damage on the heartwood.

 

A far cry from Mulberry then. But It will burn!

 

I found some old dry oak today. The dump continues to provide regular small scores.

 

Id take it in a heartbeat. Sassafras is a favorite SS wood of mine. Love to smell fresh splits too.

 

Agreed with others, used to seeing more Mulberry in my Mulberry.

 

Firewood looks good but the plywood is like gold nowadays! Nice score.

Awesome! I thought about taking a drive through today after leaving the Public Storage facility just down the road for work, but i was in the car, so I asked why I would bother.
