    Yes black walnut for sure. Easy to split. Dries fast. I know a lot of people don’t, but I enjoy the smell.

    I got a load similar to that fall 2019, I have been burning some as shoulder wood this fall, smaller pieces are showing 16% on a fresh split, the bigger stuff is closer to 20%, It burns good, almost no coals and allot of ash but hey it's free heat.
