    Who uses the Yoder YS640S?

I'm thinking about ordering one from all things bbq.

I have two hogs butchered every year and a 1/4 of a cow. I generally cook everything in the oven or crock pot. I'd also use it for deer jerky and salami

I'm ready to step it up a notch and it seems like the yoder ys640S is pretty solid. But I don't know anyone personally with one. I like the fact I would be able to set it and walk away. Bluetooth with alarms etc..

If you have one have you ever had any issues with it? Would you purchase one again or which one would you go with if you were to buy another one?

The Yoder’s look real solid, especially with the comp cart. Malcom Reed uses one on How to bbq right and he has always said good things about it, (not sure what model he has off hand?)
I’m leaning toward a Rec Teq Bull come this new year. A little more in my price range.
Lone Starr Grillz is coming out with their version of pellet grills soon as well, might be worth a look.

Yeah I’d want the comp cart if I were to get one. I want to buy one and get at least 8-10 years out of it with how much they are

    thanks

I will look him up on YouTube and check the videos out. I’ll check out the others you mentioned as well.

We've had a ys640 for about 10 years. Ignitor went out last year. Thats the only trouble we've had with it. Which to me is pretty good for that long. We bought it at All things bbq and actually picked it in Yoder Kansas at the factory. It was definitely more money than anything else we looked at, but just lifting the counter weighted lid we knew it built heavy duty. Suckers over 300lbs. The comp cart would be handy but wasnt available then and adds a substantial amount of money and foot print. Id recommended it to anyone that really wants a heavy duty unit.
