24 hours since the last time I was on here and there were 4 pages to go thru. Of course, one of them was 1 post from yooperdave .

Beautiful day yesterday. Started out in long sleeve and sweatshirt, then down to short sleeves, then down to a tank top as I did some yard work. Did some reading in the sitting area in the treeline out back and not 30 seconds after I sat down a chickadee literally flew into my arm. saw the flash of feathers out of the corner of my eye just before I felt a soft bump and the little feet scrambling as he pushed back off. Tells you how long it has been since I've used that area - he was probably going to land on the chair and scope out the new water I put in the bird bath. Got to watch the feeding frenzy at the bird feeder that hangs off the back porch for a while before I started reading too.

 

I have to buy seeds, I start putting them out when the ground freezes.

We just had a earthquake.
No big back and forth motion, felt like the house was on a freight train. Loud. I went outside to make sure there were no mushroom clouds on the horizon. About ten - fifteen seconds.

EpiCenter is 6 miles away from me.

 

Floyd is fine. He still gets spoiled.

 

Beautiful morning here. Our busy season is starting to wind down.
Lots of getting ready for winter chores the last couple weekends and the next couple.
What a year ! Even with covid business expanded 30% YOY .
Looking forward to slow time !

 

we fill our decent sized bird feeder, and less than 24 hrs later it's empty. the birds go crazy over it. There's a lot of juncos around here now.

 

Did any of our State of Maine members feel the Earthquake?

 

I believe it was off the coast of mass.

 

No quake felt here.

 

Both my kids currently have a cold so we are staying in for the time being. I decided it would be good to get all the splits I had piled stacked up before the ground froze or they got covered with snow. This stack got topped off. This was a stack I pulled from to fill the basement it’s complete again. And this is what I have on hand to process.

I didn't know about it until I was told about it. We get little ones that just are a mild tremble. only lasts for a few seconds. Nothing like ones I experienced in CA
