33* out 65* in....I slept in a bit this morning so there will be no fire to warm things up. The sun is coming up so it won't be long before it warms up inside.
45 Spruce with some hardwood mill waste from last nite still keeping things warm . No reload this morning as temps headed for 66
Last nights fire. Broke a sweat at work yesterday. Probly won’t have in indoor fire for about a week.
68 inside and 58 outside when I got up this morning. No fire today. Sun is doing its job of warming the house.
33* out 64* in....I decided to make a small fire this morning since I was up a little earlier than yesterday. It will probably make it too hot once the sun is up over the eastern mountains but oh well. Burning elm, walnut and red maple log cabin style.
It was 75 here yesterday and looking like 60 or so today. Leaf cleanup yesterday and I put the chipper on the Kubota to take care of the oak limbs from the other day and get ready for some more. Gotta take advantage of this great weather and add to the stacks. I have several neighbors with beech trees they want to get rid of and one of them loves to help me cut them. I’m somewhere around 17 cord CSS so I’ve passed the 3 year plan at 5 cord per year. Might as well keep going until I’m out of space. 5-6 year plan sounds great.
45 F this morning. Burning some more White Pine for mostly domestic hot water. Perfect temperatures for the “shoulder season” firewood.
45 when i got up. 66 now Spruce round and a little hardwood mill waste from last nite about burnt off when i checked.
Sitting at 34.5°f with snow flurries at 4:14mst. Got the fire going after work, alligator juniper and Az white oak.
My wood burning has ceased due to an unusually warm spell of weather. Highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's the last few days, and into this week. It's messing up the deer hunting too! :-(
