Ammo

I was in Pennsylvania a couple of weeks ago visiting my buddy. We ended up going down to his local Walmart every morning. We were able to get 100 rds 22lr each, each day. When I left, he had 800 rounds. Absolutely weird.

 

Yea if you catch 22lr in walmart here your lucky. And it won't be there when u go back.

 

Walmart is the last place I got 22 ammo. They had some of the bricks for $16.

 

It was gone each morning by 8:30. Price was $7.99/100.

 

Ouch!!! Those must of been CCI. Thats was kind of pricey for 100!!!

 

Cci is one of the few varieties that will cycle reliably through the Walther P22. I hate that since it's so expensive and the wife will run through 3-500 in an outing.

 

and we all know keeping the wife happy is of utmost importance.

 

I say that all the time to my son and SIL... they just grin.

bricks 500 of cci here up to $34.99 I went for the 36.99 bricks of American eagle. Going back for some copper plated 36gr 38gr HP soon. 222rds 18.99 now

 

I can't find a brick around here!!

 

I haven't been ammo shopping in a while. I stocked up back in November 2012. I paid $22 a brick for Blazers. My Marlin 22 rifle hates it. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my gun until I tried it in my brother in laws Browning Buckmark with the same results. I average 2 rounds out of 10 that either jam or fail to fire.

But from what I'm reading here, I guess not so good ammo is better than no ammo.

 

I have had terrible luck with rem golden bullets. But id buy every brick on the shelf right now if I found them!!

 

Thats why I was scared to buy the cheaper cci. But if I hadnt had a choice I would have grabbed it.

 

Thanks for the link! I've never heard of them before. I took advantage of their new customer free shipping and now have 250rnds of 9mm on the way.

Yep I was checking it a few times a week about a month ago since things loosening up. (For 22)Looks like a good deal is $0.08/red with $0.10 being the price there in stock all the time at.

I can shoot 38s that I load for that price.
