Tree trimmers just passed through

This hinge was interesting.


Since the wood was visible from the road I went to remove it and pull back further on my property. On my way out there I noticed in another tree line of ours a large dead ash finally came down. I should have done decent fun for a little while that I can slowly work on. Too dark for pictures tonight, I will have to go out during lunch tomorrow.

They just made another round of tree felling in my area. Must be at least the sixth go around in the last two years. Somebody will be happy.

 

What kind of wood is that Gourley? Gotta love tree trimmers!

 

It is some maple.

 

Here is what was left behind minus a one I need to cut before I can move.

The ash as it lies.

I can't stop myself from walking on it.

The base did have a nice clean separation.

Next time I can get out for a day I have some fun stuff to work on, bound to get some poison ivy but it will be worth it

 

trimmers will make some interesting cuts avoiding having their bar(s) pinched.
