Most homes around here, that I am aware of, are on the market for about a week. Many are signed for within a couple days. Land is another story. I have seen land on the market for a couple years. New construction isn't that common now that wood is so very expensive. One of my sons wants to put up a garage, but is holding off until the prices settle down a bit. My daughter is putting up her garage. She paid premium prices for supplies. Lots of friends will help putting it up so that will cut the labor cost. Should go up this weekend.

My code compliant wheelchair ramp cost three times what my deck did. PT is unreal in price.

VA sent someone here to measure for my ramp, then they came with an aluminum ramp. Had it installed in less than an hour. I have had it two years now. Not slippery when it gets frost on it. grade is one foot of length to one inch of height. I would be in hurting status without it. So grateful to have the VA providing for me.

Still plugging away on the bathroom. Got the corner cabinet finished, drawer fronts made for the vanity, drawer boxes finger jointed and ready to assemble, and glass shower door installed. Picking up the over the sink mirror tomorrow and getting it installed, then I can finish the wall lights.

Only thing left to do is tilt out hamper door, vanity mirrors, closet doors, and shelf above the toilet. The vanity mirror is going to suck to make.

Apparently you can just buy cabinets and mirrors at a store....definitely going to look into that for the next bathroom remodel.

In my last job, we had to get an ADA compliant aluminum ramp installed for a rear deck emergency exit. We had a budget to work with and got pricing. The company we went with sold us a used aluminum ramp with a switchback. They buy back ramps and sell at a discount. Obvious scratches and dings, but it worked out great.

Looks nice. Is that upper door going to hit the lamp shade?

These are in my basement. The red was some sheets we had laying around at work. No cost, been down twice for repairs above it. The used galvanized cost me a dollar a sheet. Some of it has been taken down 3 times for repairs of piping and fans. The brown I ordered new from local lumber yard to get the color I wanted. I think I it figured up less than sheet rock and is probably gonna have to come down to change some plumbing when I get around to finishing the bathroom. But it all goes right back up easily D19879AA-B75F-41BD-86A3-0FB6BF4EFBF5.jpeg 44289CB5-BD78-4BCD-8197-9F02ACB29B04.jpeg 5E358BA1-1EB5-47D9-8F7A-F60EF2C94157.jpeg

Yes, it hits it. One of those things we didn't think all the way through. Rarely used stuff going up there so no big deal.

2" every 2' where it is considered a ramp.

It was easier for 5' all the way than switching to 3' and back.

We picked up a pack of the Mega stuffed and they were good. They may have been for a limited time only.

First ramp I put in for Cindy was about 5 ft long. The one the VA put in for me is about 15 ft. I slipped on the wood one and got a concussion. Now I have ridges and good rails on both side which I know remember to use. I've fallen twice inside in the past two weeks, banged up my knees and lower legs. Had I used my cane, I'm betting that wouldn't have happened.
