Really nice place Terry. Maybe now that the farm work might lighten a little... will you get a chance to get out there more? How far from home?

Took the whole pack on a 6 mile hike this am, including the two new pups, Jackson and Oakley, they did great. My camera is broken and I didn't want to drag the ipad along so I didn't get any pics to put in the " hiking with the hounds" thread, but here is a pic of the after party, they both have gained 2.5 lbs in a little over a week image.jpg

What a great action, one leg down, shot of Boom... and... he's not blurry! Looks as tho he's smiling from his latest "bugging" session with Em.
Ugh... T-storms coming and going don't mix well with haying do they? We have 4- 80 year old b&w pics on our wall, of times at the old farm. One fav is Dad up on a horse drawn hay wagon, keeping track of a decent load. He looks to be around 30.

Is the pump in the basement or down the well? The old pump at the farm had 2 lines going down (pump in the basement) and was always causing fits... I can relate. Good luck.

Loon, sounds like you got foot valve problems or a bad pressure switch.

Yup, suns out now and hot. I had a problem last year when a chunk of gravel kept the foot valve open. I too, replaced the pressure tank and hot water heater this year. Pulled the well pump (127') last year and replaced all the lines, wiring, torque arrestor and foot valve. Should be good for a while now. Ain't being a home owner fun????? LOL

I have the same well pump that was put in when the house was built in '75. Hope I don't jinx myself. I have changed the holding take x 3 and the pressure switch twice. Not too much of a deal.

House was built in 72 and the 1st one lasted until 82 when it took a lightning hit. Next one lasted until 2003 and died of apparent old age. Current one (knock on my wooden head), seems to be running fine. Who knows..............................
