Ms. buZZsaw and i took a day trip yesterday and i spotted this. Had to stop much to her dismay! 20201023_165308.jpg
Ive seen "Keeping wood", "Do not take wood", but a first for this one. There was a private campground around the corner so ill bet those were the prime suspects! The only thing i took was a picture! Now if it was black locust??? :D

One time I saw one that said “Return my wood or I’m pressing charges!”

Not that I condone stealing obviously, but I always wonder why people put stuff like that 5 feet from the road. It’s their property I get it, but why make it so easy for people.

Plus the that's where you put stuff that you want people to take. I don't get why some don't understand that's where the term "curb alert" came from.

That guy can keep his psilocybin wood... I'm sure whoever's been helping themselves to it has had a less than stellar time burning it.

When I see wood laying around even if it doesn’t look like it’s on someone’s property I’m not touching the stuff without permission. Although that stuff does look like garbage.

Maybe this is reverse psychology. It looks like trash wood to me. Maybe it is kind of a dare so people will take it. Have a friend who put a stove at the end of his driveway with a "Free" sign on it. No takers in several days. Changed the sign to "For sale $50" and it was gone overnight!

I’d burn that wood all day long! Once dried properly.

    Nope. Lol
Elderly (read: has nothing to do but look out the window) neighbor called me the other day to tell me someone was in my yard taking wood. It was a buddy that did some carpentry work he didn’t charge me enough so I asked him to take some wood.

Couple more years and the sign will read Free Compost. No lie though I’ve burnt tons of wood like that. Now that I’m at 3+ years I won’t look at it. I’d be worried it’ll be growing potato’s by the time I get to it.

There was a parking lot and the wood was just off that. Looks like it was dumped that way

Now Brad,... I know you understood what I was getting at and are just being persnickety:whistle:. But in case someone didn't...now that the stove was no longer free but worth something ($50), someone stole it.

If they were smart they put the $50 inside the stove. ;)
