Do you think a hi pres washer could clear flaky old stuff off enough to then hit mine with Thompsons? Looking at your pics, I thought i was looking at our deck... ;)

You have to be careful with a pressure washer, you can tear up the wood.

Thanks for that, I was wondering whether I'd blow chunks off. I've got a wide spread tip that doesn't blast quite as hard. I'll try that.

I have done the pressure washing of the deck, but I went over it with a sander before repainting it. I couldn't keep paint or stain on the steps so I covered them in outdoor carpet. That has been down 4 years now and still holding up, but a bit faded.

That was the second spring we were here. Many yards of loam (trucked in), many yards manure (next door, wheel barrow load after wheel barrow load), and many yards of wood mulch (slash piles feed to a chipper), tons of rock (dug up on the lot), and a bit of scratching in the dirt. Stuff comes by the yard or ton around here.

After having a few beers last night at friends party, this morning it is time to get re-hydrated and get some caffeine at the same time. Going to take my wife out to breakfast before we go pick up the kids at grandma and grandpas. Luckily we left the party at a decent time last night and were in bed by 10. :thumbs:Now I am ready to get some things done today. Looks like we are going to get some rain later today though. I better finish cutting the grass at camp before that. Only did half of it the last time I was down there. Going to have to raise the deck for the second half this time.

His one leg didn't look too good, but he did get up on the table.

Right where I want to be.
Going to my brother's today with another guy to help get a coat of paint on his Thompson.
Then, making a run with sis-in-law to Gaylord for some stuff.
Might try to get some branches burned up this afternoon. Got a whole new batch from the backyard tree, plus all the branches from the 2 I took down in the turn-around.
Or, I could drop another Maple and get it processed.
Was going to trailer the tractor to my sis-in-law's and mow some of her way overgrown weeds, then get in the woods, but we got a bunch of rain overnight and more on the way.
Maybe later this week. Stretched out an old tarp in the field and need to get it cut up to cover 3-4 of the stacks. Curious how that'll work back there, but I'd like to keep the drying wood dry.
Noticed a little punk in some that's been out there for 3 years w/o cover.

Well I got part of it cut. But breakfast was at Ruby's Roadside Grill first. So I ate to much, and it was worth every bit. Then picked up the kids and got home and got to cutting grass. But the dark clouds moved in after only 45 minutes of cutting. I made it back to the garage about five minutes before it started pouring. Time to relax for a while.

LOL Not brush hogging. Mowing with the zero turn on the parts that have been finished off for a while now. Have to stay on top of all this grass, like Bart once said. "I'm a little behind."

I was mowing my lawn with the rider. The mower was delaying to engage, then it stopped engaging. Wife says she doesn't see the belt turning. I have to be on the seat to get it to engage. Not able to bend down to look under it. Now trying to get ahold of one of the kids to see if they will come look at it. Always something!
