Good advertising and process. I pull wood and use my tailboard as assembly point. I have limited space. Got a call today...one of my convenience stores needs 30. I tried retailing them a couple years ago...little success. Roadside stands like that are all over the place here.
The issue I have with retail as there aren't as many $$ in it as the roadside stand. But I'm not sure I would turn away the opportunity if it ever crossed my path. We shall see. Better get busy making some bundles!
Finally got into splitting the ash with the splitter. With the new Kioti CK3510SE, I built a little palette tote that I am using to haul the splits from where I cut them to my stacks. Once I get this set of rounds finished off, I will change the process and haul the logs from the log pile to where my stacks are. Cut and split them right in front of the stacks to save a little bit of handling and hopefully time. Was able to get about 2/3 of a cord split and stacked today. I'll try to grab a picture of the new stacks tomorrow.
Of Course! It sits pretty much all summer. Once fall rolls around I hook up the plow to push leaves and pine needles when the windrows get to big for the Little Wonder. And now that we got 5.6" of snow yesterday, I pushed a little bit of snow with it today. I'm glad I still have it. When we got the Can-Am Defender, I considered selling it, but there are too many things I use that little wheeler for.
Whats that white stuff on the ground? Id like some cooler weather her but not snow. NICE looking work TBG!
No Kidding. That white stuff came way too early. Already 8" has fallen here. She's a chilly end of October. I bet once gun deer season comes around the week of Thanksgiving we will be in the 50's and 60's (Last year we got a foot of snow the Tuesday before Turkey Day). It's amazing how the weather changes year to year here in Wisco. I just hope it rains tomorrow enough to melt the snow. I need to put heat tape in the valley on my roof. Right now we are on or near the rain/snow line. Could be some heavy snow to the north of us.....again.
It's an up north Wisconsin thing. My mom lives only a little way away from thebierguy and she got a good amount of snow too. 5-6 inches or so there. Green grass down here 200 miles south of them.
Smells like Ash! I had posted some pictures of some rounds I cut a few weeks back. Finally got them all split and stacked. Ended up being 4.38 face cord of stacked ash, which took me exactly 7 hours to cut, split, and stack. The Kioti has done really well so far. It will really help when I I work on processing more ash. I plan to haul the logs over to where I will stack it. Cut, split and stack in one spot minimizing the amount of times I handle a split. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
It has come way to fast! I have a few things to do yet before full winter starts. Heat tape in the valley, xmas lights etc. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Seems you have thought all this through well. Quite a hoard you have on hand! Welcome to the forum, and looking forward to following your progress
Gotta make hay when the sun is (not) shining I'd say close to a cord and a half split this evening. My best outing at once so far this fall. Once I get this stacked will be at about 15.5 cords split and stacked. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
