Getting there. Been putting the better btu wood nuggets/shorties in it for the most part. Sugar maple, honey lucust, mulberry and today some black birch. Maybe 2/3 full.
I've been throwing the short chunks in between my rows of wood for some time now, plus every now and then, i'll grab a good straight piece of wood and split it up into nice kindling, that way later on when i get some wood, i'll have kindling worked into the wood pile as well. Its nice to come inside in the winter with a little kindling that's already split and seasoned, along with a couple of chunks of wood for the stove.
Bin filling up. Added sugar maple and black locust. Only putting primo hardwoods in here. Lesser btu wood is in another area waiting for a bin.
Almost there. Some BL nuggets from yesterdays score added today. Four months worth of hoarding almost filled it up. Oak and hickory in another bin, lesser btu woods in another. Gets to be a logistical challenge when you hoard as much wood as i do with limited storage.
With the nuggets/shorts from the recent BL scores its full. One cord of primo btu wood nuggets. Now have to figure out where to put the next bin for primo btu wood. Have to make one for the hickory and oak as well as the lower btu woods.
Wow. That's a nice bin. Lot of great wood. I'm gonna have to built some more bins or convert our old chicken pen. Got 2 dump trailer loads of different length rounds. Great hoarding as always, buddy.
Very nice. Great job on using reclaimed wood. I used cull PT bought at big box store and 1x4 from a dismantled pallet.
