Eh, not really a lot to do about it. Even the vaccine isn't fool proof. As expensive as it is, it will only prevent new tumors from occurring, not stop any existing ones. We're not putting him through radiation, or chemo. I'm happy we talked with the oncologist, and they checked out Badger as well as they could. We're just going to watch him and make sure he's happy as long as that may be. He turns 11 in March.

Yup. I had to run to winter harbor this afternoon. 1 out of 10 vehicles on 1A were out of state plates.

We got way too much rain this morning. The boss (99) decided we would spend a night or two away from the cottage! :smoke:

Kiddo and the pup and I just missed a water spout thing, like a huge dust devil but water from the lake when we arrived home, We could hear crazy wind when we got out of the car but it was not here at that second, took 3 steps into the garage and the house was engulfed, weird! But kind of cool, I've seen them but have never been in them. Just glad we made it into the garage. Amazing wind can pick up water and carry it that far!

Caffeine! Today will consist of finishing the primer coat of paint in the basement. Then help my youngest daughter get her chicken’s barn coop ready for the cold season. A lot more chickens going in there this year, so they need a few more laying boxes. Then I’ll be going to work on sanding the wood molding down so I can eventually stain it all new again so it will all be the same. I had to replace some molding and add some.

I keep getting pulled away from this project, so it’s getting done a little at a time. Hopefully have it finished, as far as I’m going to at this point, by Sunday so we can start moving all the workout equipment down there. Then I can have my attached garage back for our vehicles, and small inside winter projects, before it gets cold. Yea!

You should put the workout equipment in the barn, near the chickens. Then this image that's going through my head will make a whole lot more sense.

    WORD From The Woods

    Ephesians 3:14-21

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

After Paul explained in the previous passage that Jews and Gentiles have both become one body of believers in Christ, and how he, Paul, has been called to bring this gospel to the world, he responds in humble adoration to God the Father by bowing before Him. Paul also says that it's from God that every family on heaven and earth is named, this is a clear statement of God's sovereignty over all creation. In verse 16, he talks about the empowering of the Holy Spirit in the life of Christians for service. As true believers in Christ we are rooted and grounded in the love of Christ! I believe that this is the foundation of spiritual growth and strength! Being rooted and grounded on that foundation, we will have the strength to comprehend with all the other saints what the love of Christ really is in our lives and become filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. As we grow in the Spirit we will be empowered to do far more than we could ever ask or think according to the power at work in us, not according to our own will but according to the will of God!

God bless! And have a great week! -Terry

Yes I saw it rained for quite a while. Almost all of it misses us, thankfully.

Still calling for snow toward this weekend?

First fire of the season. It was raining and in the 50s since last night. A little chilly this morning in the house so I did a fast and hot fire to warm things up.
