I've did a fast test on time limit for flame detection time-out, it failed
I did a start in manually light and pushed start meanwhile with no fuel/fire to be seen
10 minutes later, auger comes on with no proof of fire established :picard:
Might be my snap disc staying in closed position
I.ll do a test on that later :smoke:and report back ;)

No, snap disc was open
I fired it up to see what's up, proof of flame kicked on along with auger working a little later on the CB :loco:
Now I suspect the CB has a bug or starting to be defective :smoke:
I'll contact Matt at Fahrenheit to see what he thinks of it

Maybe someone with the newer board should try my test on manual and see if you get the same results?
Matt mentioned to unplug it for a short stint so it resets. This also can be tested.

Forgive my ignorance,I guess what i am asking is what/and or how do you perform a fast test for time limit on flame detection-time out. What are the parameters?Sorry again,
    I am not understanding:confused:

What I did was pretending to light(no fire) the furnace in Manual ignition instead of Auto ignition so I could take a time-out reading which is 10 minutes. What happened is it started to feed pellets with no Proof of Fire permission which it wasn't suppose to do. Strange indeed!
I was hoping someone else would try to do the same procedure to see if we get the same results.

You do not have to fire up the furnace one bit, a simple test to do and 10 minutes later you just stop the furnace when the auger starts feeding pellets into the burnpot for nothing.
Simple, simple! Look at page 18 to operate the furnace, Manual Ignition. Everything is explained but without pellets & fire! "DO NOT PUT 2 CUPS OF PELLETS/GEL" NO FIRE required!!

    Update 5/12/20

After replacing the temp switch and the blower motor, the stove worked great for a few weeks.
Then about a month ago same Auger Time Out issue.
Called/ Emailed Matt at Fahrenheit and we came up with the little auger gear thing (official name) behind the auger was maybe binding up and needing cleaned/lubed. Took it out along with the auger and worked like a champ again for a few weeks.

Now, here we are in May with snow and freezing temps and the Auger time out is happening again for the last few weeks off and on. Now, since last week the stove will not even ignite it is timing out so quick. Even in manual ignite, it is still shutting down.

So, per Matt, my last option is the Control Board...

I have really liked this stove, but this year I may as well have run my furnace, it has eaten up about $400 in parts so far and another about $350 for the board so approx. $750 this winter on top of 5 tons of pellets...

There's always a streak of bad luck that comes around :hair:
So yours times out in manual mode, that's good to know, Is yours a LED or LCD Auto CB?
Where's Dexter when you need him? MIA :smoke:
Or he cut you some slack and to fend for yourself

There were a few calls to Dexter. No way of really fixing it that we could gather. My CB is the "newer" LCD green screen running version 2.o from memory? Its summer time. New project is cleaning up about 35 tree I had dropped around my camp. A whole new mess to keep me busy this summer. Then a porch redo before fall.

    Good afternoon Endurance owners!

I've owned one of the early LED models for the last 7 years and run around 7 tons a year through it. I bought it used and I believe the gentleman before me had it for at least 5 years. It is Serial # 2326
Anyways, I've been keeping my eyes out for a newer auto-ignition one and finally found a good deal locally! They only ran it for two seasons and maybe 5 or 6 tons through it from the looks of it! I'm pretty excited to see how it performs compared to the older unit that I'm used to.

I'd like to hook a wireless thermostat up to it, I ran my old unit on manual and got pretty good over the years of guessing what level it needed to be on for the day based on the outdoor temps. But you always had a couple of days where you'd come home and it would be mid 70's in the house or freezing cold to the point it couldn't make it up quickly. I am heating around 2,800 sq ft in total. The old unit did great until it got below 10° outside then it would slowly lose temp.

My area of Michigan seems to only have Pro-Pellets, I've burnt them for years since it's all I can find. I found Somersets at Menards one year and those were better but haven't found them again.

I'm looking at the Braeburn 7500 wireless thermostat. I've emailed them some questions about using it on a millivolt furnace and it looks like I can make it work as long as I use a 24 volt power supply for the controller. They also said that I can go from .5° differential up to 2.0°

One question do you think this is enough swing for these units? I know in past posts people say to use the Lux brand since they can swing higher. I've looked for wired options but it really can't work without a lot of drywall patching.

Anyways, I've read every post on this forum about these over the years and finally decided to join!
I look forward to being able to share experiences with you guys! I know how to make the older ones perform from tinkering with it for the last 7 years.

Oh, my new unit has the serial # 3033

This is a picture of my old unit, I'm not sure if I'll sell it or use it out in the barn. The parts are getting pretty worn on it even though I replaced them every couple of years.

Nice to meet you and welcome to the club :)

I have a knock off of your stove, just bought a new one after weighing replacing some expensive parts, our old one is going into the barn as well and will be a parts donor.

ETA, very interesting, our serial on our old one was either similar or the exact #3033

Welcome Nathan D to FHC :handshake:
I started out with the old and moved on to the newer just like you. Also hang on to the old for the garage whenever I get to it :D
I've just starting to burn in my Harman last night and I will be more active here soon enough ;)
I would love to hear your stories and tweaks on these furnaces

Hi guys, question, we are moving the Eco-65 to an adjoining room (to reduce fan noise), does the plenum need to be movable to brush the pipes under it? How do you do that?
