Fuzz..gonna have to beat Dex out...or just wait a few months till he is ready to sell out and just buy it from him at a slight discount. It won't be hurt if you have seen his saws ;)

OK, so now you guys should understand why I offered the TLandrum (who knows what he is doing BTW) P/C in the first place. Quick, easy and low cost way to get a large portion of the advantages of what a custom port job would get you and still be able to feed your family. If you look at Wicked Work Saws web site or earlier in this thread, Terry tells you himself he uses a proven porting formula on the saws that come though the door.

I agree with Mdavlee that when ported the XPW will out run them all!

Fuzz bottom ends are not hard to do, in fact you should think seriously about doing new mains/seals in your 261 during the 262XP conversion process. No better time! You can use my tools and my wife's oven!

One last thought on this from a pro porter's perspective. Porting a customer saw can be a very expensive process even from the perspective of the person doing the porting. One little slip or slight timing error (1 degree) can ruin the jug and cost the person doing the porting money out of his own pocket!

The following from a person well known to all of you!

Names have either been changed or left out to protect the innocent! I am sure that whomever the customer was they were not charged for two cylinders and a 272 piston.

Thats what you got to like about ;).

I've seen a couple other builders port saws that didnt run so good and then sell them as ported saws to folks that dont have a clue what is good stuff and what isnt even close to being good. Shame on the dishonest ones. :emb: Then new owner thinks they really got something and it really is just a miss.

Only two real contenders now. Go ahead and do a run off between the two. Then again, if the same people vote, you could get a tie.

Good idea Cory! It would have to be short, 3 days perhaps, there are enough things to vote on that we could be here til the snow flys!

However that would give you and Fuzzy-Honey time to fill the piggy bank and be able to bid! LMFAO!

It will be about 6 weeks before I will possibly have time to do it with my work schedule. I figure that will be plenty of time for all the poles and stuff to be voted on and it assembled.
