I agree. Zoom isn't perfect but it works for meetings over distances.

We might hit 80°. I think I know someone that might be out of the office this afternoon....

Its a hands on training, not something you could do remotely. But its not something that we NEED to do ASAP either.

Grilling some steak burgers tonight (half brisket, half round)....if you buy at case price and grind it yourself, it works out to be pretty cheap compared to regular ground beef....and tastes a heck of a lot better too.

Not sure what the weekend holds yet.

Good luck tomorrow. They're still up high but may start moving Monday with the colder weather coming in.

We're enjoying the American elm shorties in the fire pit tonight.
It's nearly 70° out after getting 80° today.

We spent the afternoon on the lake with our boating family. The water was a little chilly, but we were not swimming anyways.

Yeah, 80 is what we had today, and I'm not complaining. It was a bit windy, but we all anchored on the back side of a bay and it was much less windy.

We hit 76 yesterday Horkn ! Today, it's back to Oct for us. High in the 40's and 50's and lows in the 20's and 30's for the next 10 days.

99 lbs is about ready to leave the cottage for another season. I have a little more work down there to get it freeze up ready and that'll be it. :(

It looks like our garden and patio plants have until Wednesday to continue their growing season outside. Wednesday afternoon I'll need to bring all the tropical plants inside ( hibiscus, palm tree, banana trees, and Jasmine). All the flowers will be done outside as it's supposed to get in the upper 30's, then a day or 2 later we could be flirting with freezing temperatures. I'll also need to pick whatever tomatoes, and all the peppers I have. Oh yeah, I'll need to dig up the Canna Lilly bulbs and put them in the basement. With temps like that, I'll also need to bring up some wood for the stove. I've got essentially nothing at the house when I typically put up at least 2-3 cords on the patio by now. I've been concentrating on building the shed, not on moving the dry stuff that will be burned this season.

Finally got an 1/2 hour job done, well all most, 3 hours later. Change the oil in the Mini. Gosh do I hate working on that POS.
The drain plug is on the side of the engine and low no room to catch to the oil. I took a piece of spouting and fabricated it to drain the oil to the outside of the unit. It only worked about half. I'll still have oil spots on the floor for a long time to come.
To fill the thing you can't get a funnel in to the engine very good. About a cup of oil spilled over the funnel on the engine. One more thing to go. The oil filter. Should be a piece cake. Wrong. Couldn't get it to turn. Put a torque amplifier (cheater pipe) on the filter wrench. Bent the crap out of the wrench. Filter still didn't budge Left the filter in.
I am thinking about driving a screw driver through it and see if it will come. If it doesn't it will probably be an engine pull. Not quite ready to do that.
Sure glad I don't make living turning wrenches.
    Off to the next crisis.

I have used the the screwdriver trick and had it work but its not something Id suggest to anyone. Hope you get this worked out. This problem would pee anyone off. As for the oil on the floor I always plan on it no matter how carful I am.

Lining up the stove to the ceiling support box today. I have everything for the hearth build. Going 18" out the front with the slate.

Probably start this in the morning. Been a long day already. Slowly getting there a little bit at a time.
