It is, totally changed our lifestyle regarding showering, laundry, dishes, lawn, trees gardening. That's why it's so desolate here.... And glad you missed all problems with our cistern pump over the years, finally got our Mr MasterCard and bought a new top of the line pump after way too many repairs and mishaps.

This home was our fishing shack, second home. After the incredibly dangerous and scary wildfire we went through we ended up moving here (many reasons), and who would have guessed here too now? That said, it is desolate, just a few bushes and sage brush and grass which is WAY safer than our previous home in the mountains.

Sure hope those winds stay on your side, meaning blowing away from you. We had some smoke today in the northwest, then last night just at dusk, i noticed it in the south east. For the rest of the week, mid 80's to high 80's just what we DON'T NEED!! Its drying up fast around here, but, there's a lot of heavy dew in the mornings, that does help.

Thanks, and you too :) Just sad, all these fires will cause loss and destruction wherever they go, prayers for all of us.

TRY to rest, if nothing else just relax, that might help get rid of some stress, take care!!! Sorry to hear about the wind. We had some wind today, out of the north west, which would mean it was blowing some what against the fire. I could see smoke to the north west of us this evening, it was brownish in color and pretty high. Went out last night with the flashlight, and could see the smoke in the light beam no problem. But, its not that bad here.

Thank you! Of course you will not get carp, this an unusually caring place on the internet, no place like it, we all care about eachother, and I appreciate you expressing that friend :) And I was mesmerized with that video, believe I could see the hogback mountain we live beyond in a couple shots but hard to tell, I don't know the area and terrain like I did at my previous home. Dig that gal flying the plane!!!!! I've interacted with a lady during the daily evening fire briefings on line the last couple days, I believe she is this little go getter gals mother. Very cool!

The place the fire is going to the south is not heavily populated thank goodness, but I pray for those people too. Structure protection (homes) has been major the last 24 hours so I have hope. Previous wildfire mowed over 600 homes to ashes.

Backwoods Savage , we were evacuated but decided to wait for a bit, then they lifted our mandatory evac and we're back down to a pre evac.

Well the fire is still mostly moving away from us which is good, but it's up to 130,000 acres  Praying for safety for all those involved, the fire personnel and evacuees.

 The 6% containment is fire line between the fire in the mountains to the west and the hogback I live next to. Hooray!

    Sadly it's still growing though, ~140,000 acres.

No aircraft here today, either they are working from another water source or it's too windy....

We've been fortunate to have much less smoke here for a day or so now. Though kiddo and WWW's eyes are red and voices hoarse when they get home.

We're still home! Windy and gusty predawn, still pretty ready to go if needed.

This a facebook post on the fire I'm next to. True! :

For all you tree huggers out there, you don't even have to go to the forest anymore to get close to the trees. Take a deep breath! That's the tree you hugged last year. Now take another breath, that's the tree you hug 2 years ago. Take another breath, that's the house that burned down 3 miles away from your trees. Now take one more breath, those are the lives you've destroyed by hugging your funking trees. And now the last breath, and I hope you choke on it. YOU have destroyed lives and burned entire forests down.

    BANANAS!

We are still on pre evac, 75 mph winds today. We are still good, wind mostly blowing the fire away from us and a cool front, even some rain drops. Not much, but it felt great. Now, the fire south of us near where we moved from is blowing up and the home we sold is under mandatory evactuation.

Also, prayers for the member I've messaged on here from Masonville, I pray he is okay and his home is okay.
