I would be asking for a refund at this point.

    I agree.

I’d lean on that dealer to make things right, and that includes you walking out of there with either a different saw or a refund.

I was at the supermarket tonight and meet the mechanic. He was all smiles and said he had found the problem "the oiler had quit working" so a new oiler is on order!

Sounds like a new bar and chain is warranted, while they are at it...can't have done it any favors...:hair:

If you make the dealer take the 439 back, you might look into a Husqvarna 440e. A friend of mine has one and it's been ran hard, with a pretty lax maintenance schedule. It's our trail saw for atv rides and has always started. 16 inch bar, pulls it pretty good for just a little homeowner class saw.

After 6 weeks at the shop, I finally got the saw back with a new oiler installed. Bucked the log below into rounds, starting at the top and worked towards the butt end. The saw really picked up and started cutting properly by the time I got to the end. The saw sat for maybe 30 minutes, started right up but again would not give full RPM. Any ideas why it runs good when really warmed up and not so good when just warm?

I owned it before having Husqvarna 455. Husqvarna 439 has a starter cord that’s easy to pull and an engine that’s quick to start. Husqvarna 439 is a lightweight and efficient all-around saw, ideal for those looking for a chainsaw that is exceptionally easy to start but against it, Husqvarna 455 Rancher is most selling and top-rated on your woodcutting different project.
