Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. Well, the fun trip is over, we got home about 11:00 last night, and unpacked. We got to Rush Battle house about 12:30PM. Met his super nice family, beautiful place they have in the mountains. Ate a very nice lunch and visited the afternoon away. We are actually very distant kin. His mom's side traces back to the original Veal's that settled Deepstep area. We did make it down to his woodyard and he ran the 461 for a bit. He liked the 32"bar. I have a couple videos to load. Great trip. I will have a thread on it once I get the pictures from Miz Carol's phone.
We did find something from the great state of NH Midwinter Woodwhore Mwalsh9152 Warner

Morning All. Up early and it is raining. Leaving for appointments down island today so no walking. Had a nice visit with our daughter yesterday. Managed to send stuff home with her that we don't need anymore. Slowly my retirement project has been started. I plan on going through every box in our storage area and make a decision on whether to keep it, find it a good home or throw it out. It should take me about 10 years to do it.
    Everyone have a great day.

Walpole is a cute little town, we used to go through there often on the bike.

We had a great time with Miss Carol and Mr. Jeff! Learned a bunch, and gained a few items on the needed list. Always great to meet our distant kin, and enjoyed all the discussion, including the firewood talk!

I saw it posted on Facebook yesterday. I think it was on the FHC Facebook page.

    Good morning, all.

I'll be at my BIL's, to gather up some oak he cut up from a couple of trees that blew over a few yeaRd ago. They fell into a small swamp. With the severe drought around here, there's no swamp. Dried mud.

I'll be gathering up the wood he cut, while it's still dry. I can stack there, until I have room here for more wood.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone! We'll be picking up the wind from Teddy passing by in the Atlantic, but it doesn't sound like it'll be enough to blow down any trees. Then back to warmer weather for awhile. I'll enjoy one more taste of summer.

I've been working on getting a pile of oak out of the driveway. There has been tempting free wood on Craigslist, but mostly too far away. There's always a gnawing feeling in the background that I should be bringing home new wood, but I'm tamping it down for now. Too much other winter prep to do.

Glad you are able to get the wood. Hope you get rain after the wood is out.
