Cleaned the Fireview and chimney yesterday. Only got enough out of the 16' of pipe to fill 1/2 of a coffee cup. Did the routine of checking gaskets, door and all the other stuff from the floor to the cap. I find a real sense of satisf action knowing that everything is ready for the upcoming fires. Knowing that your setup is good to go gives one peace of mind so to speak. If you don't do it and skip checking everything, there will always be that nagging thought in the back of your mind. "Am I safe to burn?" Just not worth taking a chance.
I installed a thermocouple (probe) in the stove to monitor CAT Temps. The wire normally would be on the floor. I just hang it up while cleaning,
