That looks like Black Locust to me. Seasons quick and burns hot, plus its already cut up. I'd jump all over it!!!

 

I was having a hard time discerning between Black Locust and Sassafras. Third pic was a winner. I’ve never seen Sassafras grow with so many lobes. Black Locust, my final answer.

Thats the FHC spirit! Pretty sure its BL, but Joe may be right as sassafras looks similar. I'm going with BL though.

 

I think your right. Looked it up. One map shows Massachusetts and another goes as high as The top of Maine. Go after it.
