    Nice score! A lot of people pass on that stuff because it's not oak or at least sugar maple. That just means there's more for those of us that know better :) I have about a half cord at home for the 2021-2022 season.

    A lot of people around here either don't burn or don't want the hassle of processing. They would rather call for a delivery of "seasoned" wood.

    Hearth slate arrived from Poultney, VT today. This is 6" x 6" unfading green. We had it at the last house and loved it. We are so happy to have it again. I went and cut all the free gray slate a few weeks ago, but ditched the plans and not looking back.

    Bummer new fire just west of me, ash falling from the sky, super smoky. I can't imagine it will make to where we live, but making a mental list for evac for just incase.

    I spent the afternoon helping my buddy out putting the steel roofing on his GF's garage. It's done besides some caulking, and reinstalling the gutters.

    Now he can come over to my house to help get the last bay roof structure done, then steel roofing can go on. :thumbs:
