Not on this one. Don't want to get into details, but it could result in me losing my job if i did that
I am still curious what the first wood was. Whoever said Black Walnut may be right. The bark looks pretty similar in pictures online. Guess its a blessing in disguise, although that Cherry would have been nice.
I think you should invite buZZsaw BRAD up to your area. He'll sniff out any local Locust for you. There's got to be some somewhere, on an old homesite maybe. Look where the farms are/used to be. That's where it would've been intentionally planted along fencerows or field edges in sunny locations. Bummer the score fell through; though I'm sure there will be more. There always is.
Thats $%^&$. Happened to me before. Did you offer up the FHC liability form? Liability Wavier 2014-08-18 Doesnt always help but doesnt hurt to have. Sorry, didnt see any BL in there.
Here’s my find for today. Got detoured on the way home from work, saw this lot no one was on site. I need to stop in and talk to them at some point.
I see a chipper and another piece of equipment, maybe a stump grinder. Looks like a tree guys yard. Maybe they’re looking to get rid of the wood. Who knows!!!
It is a tree company, after some research I have seen their equipment around town. Most of their work is in an urban area pretty much all yard trees, so I’m not sure if I’d want to sign on for a grapple truck load. If I could pick what I wanted out of the pile there would be no question. It would not feel right to me to ask to cherry pick. I’ll make a call and see where it goes.
Yeah nada about firewood. And if they were selling any there would defiantly be a pile there now, I would think. They have a grapple truck.... lots of EWP in the pile...huge oak stems... and some decent wood that I’d like to get. I’ll feel that out tomorrow. It wood be nice to just pay for trucking...
