Not quite yet Dennis. Just hooked back up to internet and TV so we both have a chance to watch the Lions....... Probably another month before back full time; thanks!
Good to see you posting again Tom. A bunch of us were talking about you last weekend, but fear not. It was all good. Good luck with the hunting. We start on deer in 2 weeks.
It’s been chaotic this summer, we are buying a house the week vs rebuilding. Has been a long battle with insurance. New house has a outdoor wood boiler and looking forward to the radiant headed floors. Talk more soon.
We had 38 in northern NH last night. House dipped down to 63 lit a fire this morning to get the chill out. Yellow birch and maple burning nice.
Hit 44 in SW CT early this morning. 64 in the house but we had a number of the windows open last night. I pulled a fleece on over my flannel sheet. I was the most comfortable I've been since before the summer started. Won't need to have a fire going yet, probably going to be pretty close to October. Most likely just going to need to close the windows at night for the next little bit.
We would still be sleeping with the windows open except now we have the smoke from the wild fires. The house is all buttoned down with the air purifier going full blast. Fairly warm inside and out.
Next three nights will have lows near and below freezing. Yeah, the NC-13 will be heating the cottage!
Time to catch up here.... we've had mid 20s to mid 30s overnight this past week. It's supposed to drop significantly in a few days after a slight warmup. Cleaned the pellet stove & woodstove last evening.
Haven't seen you around. Guess I missed something about your house. Glad you are moving forward, I guess. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the new place. Radiant floors sound soon soothing.
Next 3 nights in low 30's. No doubt we'll have a couple small fires. I put some really dry spruce and pine on the porch a few days ago. We're all set.
No one was hurt from the fire and we have full replacement insurance. Like everyone we have problems, however we are NOT in a bad way.
We've been in the 40s at night. My wife has been staring at the stove, itching to get it going... I'm not ready yet, but if it gets any colder we'll prob fire it up soon.
22° this morning, 65° in the cabin. 4 sticks of Aspen in the stove brought us back up to 70°, the sun should keep us there the rest of the day.
Supposed to be 30's & 40's at night here for a few days, I lit up the boiler this afternoon. It'll run for a few days till the next warm up.
