Awesome to get him to stay on there. Our youngest would be constantly on the move and would bail at any indication of something interesting.
Our male rat terrier we had was really good at rat patrol. The two girls we have now are not that great at it.

He surprised me (the bike is new) we've jumped up a Turkey and had a chipmunk cross about 6' in front of us and he perked up his ears but didn't flinch. Of course he's short tied to the basket and doesn't fight it. :salute:

So our Badger had to go in for a couple teeth to be pulled and cleaning of the rest of his teeth. He had an abscess on a rear molar. He's in surgery now. For being 10.5 he's in great shape per the vet, blood work was all good, just had some teeth issues all the way in back, mostly because he doesn't really chew his kibble, and we never brushed his teeth.

Badger's home. Loopy, but home. We've got Hayden in his crate to let Badger have some peace. The last thing we want is Hayden biting/ jumping or swatting at Badger's face.

We fed Hayden, Badger didn't seem interested. Badger can't have food until tomorrow am. But he will need a medication tonight. He had an IV today so he got something from that today. He's more alert now and he is following us around the house, so there's that. Hayden is out and pretty much leaving Badger alone.

Thanks guys! Badger is a very sweet and loving dog. He's a huge snuggler, even though he takes up more of the bed than we want, he's always courteous and will move to the side of the bed if we want. Guys like Canadian border VT and DaveGunter see him at his 100% on and always wanting to retrieve, but once he's inside, he's super chill and just wants to lay next to you. 20200814_110411(1).jpg

Glad Badger made it thru the procedrue okay. Hope he heals up quickly - it will be tough keeping the pup away from him.

Glad the surgery went well, and he's home, should be back to himself in no time. Any word on what the mass was? Did they send it out for histology?

They sent it out, and they will know by Thursday.

He was allowed to eat late last night, so he ate rice and chicken my wife made for him. He also drank water and I had him out and he went pee, So he's got his
appetite back. Badger is on a pill for 2 weeks that will help him heal, as well as help keep him calm (er). He did jump up onto our bed last night and he slept all night and is doing well today. :)

They are similar in color, both being fox red. Hayden weighs almost as much as Badger now. Badger is taller and skinnier American Lab, and Hayden is a shorter and chunkier English Lab. Last I weighed Hayden he was 65 lbs give or take and Badger was 69 lbs at his last vet appt in August. Once Hayden gets 18-24 months his head will be the wider bigger block head, but you can see it already a little bit. I'll weigh Hayden this week, as one of these days he is going to be heavier than Badger.

Badger's doing well. Pretty much no more bleeding. Drinks, eats, poops and pees, and takes his pills like treats. He's a good boy. 20200915_203841(1).jpg
He took my couch spot. So I'm sitting on my wife's couch.;)
