I settled for a 6'-4" bed because pickings now are slim....Already regretted not having the 8' bed once! We shall see! Side note, when I told the wife I was getting the short bed, she told me that I wouldn't be happy...she must never know she may be correct!!

Wood stove install is booked for the end of October. I'll be up on the roof today measuring where the flashing will go. If the weather starts going bad before the date, I will cut the hole and install the flashing for a good seal. Lots to do in the kitchen removing a few old cabinets, hearth build.

Taking time for a family birthday party outside today.

Crabapples are ready to pick for jelly. Canning lids have been scarce around here lately.

Bummer about the truck. Rent a truck from HD for a couple hours to get the lumber home.

As I pulled up the driveway last night I saw this guy crawling across the gate.

He hung on there while I opened the gate but he had gone by time I parked the LandCruiser in the shed and returned to close the gate.

What size is it? Hard to tell without something for scale.

He was probably about 2” Brad. I could see him before I got to the gate.
