Got down to 33 this morning, probably would of been a little colder if it wasnt cloudy. Just like yesterday I need a small fire in the morning and again in the evening to keep the cabin above 70.

Dropped to 37 yesterday morning and I'm, sure that some places were cooler. Gonna be another cool one this overnight with frost/freeze warnings running rampant across the region. Some areas will hit the 20's!

Oh yeah... burning some shoulder season aspen rounds. 74 in the house.

Was 45ºF at 6AM, about ten degrees colder than forecast.
    Still just 54ºF.
Definitely a long pants day. Long pants are heavy.
Glad I closed all the windows last night.

No fire in the boiler yet, but no AC either finally. Could stay like this for a good bit as far as I'm concerned.

Nice Fall day here. Low 70's with no humidity at all. Great firewood making day. Nuggets, bark and framing scraps in the pit. IMG_3075.JPG Used some locust nuggets to make charcoal as we were almost out of briquettes. IMG_3067.JPG
Porterhouse on the grill. Maybe last grilling of the season. IMG_3076.JPG

Whaaaaat!!!!!!! Weather's just getting good for grilling. I like a scoop of coals from the boiler to cook over.

Think it’s going be while before we have another fire. No complaints from me as I think it is really rather pleasant.

Currently perfect for mid September. I'm looking at what's in store for next weekend and I'm pretty psyched to see some overnight low 40s. We'll see how chilly the house is when I wake up next Sunday morning... it would be pretty nice to throw some blue spruce or tulip poplar into the stove. That reminds me, I'll have to clean my stack sometime this week. Other than that, I'm ready!

We eat late. I do the fire & get grill ready, she cooks. I have more locust nuggets i can make smaller. If im around and have time maybe a few more grillings. I get in late and not enough daylight, plus usually tired.

Has been cool in the low 20’s, coming in from 7 days of moose hunting with two of my boys. No moose yet. 56C48477-4343-4833-9A30-09703A63C68E.jpeg DA3C6409-E635-456F-9660-1CB41B054F80.jpeg 8BD723C7-6051-44E1-9254-4FBDB5F9C10E.jpeg 8C3F8C3D-DF1F-405A-9F29-AEBAF4C93CE9.jpeg 869AAF6C-2E34-4247-B794-506943F04CC6.jpeg
