In July we had to make that decision with ours. 14 years 6 weeks old. Good run for a lab. We are going to take a little break for a while from dogs. We have always had at least 1, always labs. It’s just getting tough when they get old and that day comes. Charlie hit me hard as he was doing good one day and 2 days later we had to make the decision as he couldn’t even get to his feet. My chocolate in the picture had cancer and was 12, the surgery to remove was risky and he did not recover. That dog was the one my daughter grew up with and they were in separable. No matter what she did to him he’d turn and start licking her face with his tail going full speed.

 

"Cavalier"

"500 bucks bough me a cavalier,
Got a false inspection for a case of beer,
He signed the paper, she's fit for the road,
But my kids friends dad says she's a rolling commode.


Well he may be right, that well dressed dude,
She starts more days than not but she don't run smooth,
The links are broken off the anti-sway,
And the tires leak a pound per square inch a day.

Well you get what you pay for, and I can't afford that much.
The windshields cracked, and the rockers are jagged to the touch.
The gas mileage could be better if the tank didn't leak.
Pay for gas, or for a new tank, what's the difference so to speak?

The check engine light is on, it flashes sometimes.
The computers throwing a code or sixty nine.
But go to the mechanic when they open at nine?
I ain't got the money, even though I got the time.

The seat is ripped, dash is cracked, the floor is stained.
The roof leaks by the liter when it rains.
The handles are broken on all four of the doors,
Good thing one's held shut by a bungee cord.

The car undercorrects when she oversteers.
Hasn't been aligned for many years.
Tires got less tread than a chocolate bar,
I went off the road in the daytime, but I seen stars.

The front tires wear uneven to say the least,
If I'm headed north, one points west, the other east.
The rear tires got ten plugs between the two.
And the spare fell out last time I went to timbucktu.

The radio, must say, it works just fine.
But if I said third gear works, then I'd be lyin'.
The gas door is in a parking garage downtown,
And the passenger side window don't roll down.

She ticks, she knocks, she bangs, she smokes, she bucks.
Half of the mileage is from spinning out when stuck.
A tow would cost more than the cavalier cost to buy,
If she breaks down I'm leaving her there with a "take me" sign.

And the wife s#!+ her pants when the brake line blew,
But I found some JB weld and now she's nearly good as new,
If I'm going 34 and want to slow to 22,
It only takes a minute and a half or maybe 2.

A cop pulled me over just the other day,
Said she's a danger to be on a public right of way.
And you know I hit a squirrel the very next day.
Ripped the car clean in half and he walked way!

600 bucks bought me a 2005 Chevy cobalt,
A case of beer and mechanic said the cars without fault,
I saw broken springs, and fluid dripping from a line,
But I'm no mechanic, I'm Nobody to pay it no mind.

Really nice looking and has to leave a feeling of satisfaction, I’m sure. Wish I had the room in the garage to put up wood lie that. I’m tired of making trips to the stacks in a foot of snow on a January night. If our son would get his project car out of it that he left here in 2006, then I might have some room.

Thanks. We told him for years to bring it to his house, but then he got a '67 Mustang that’s his show car. I get the projects and he gets fun. Haha!

 

First time on a spoiled horse. Any of our horses for that matter.

Daughter is up ahead and had a hard time waiting up for us. Gets bored. The faster she goes makes our horses want to keep up with her.

Last time I was on a horse, I was clotheslined off...at least that's what I'm told...was too young to remember it.

My car is misfiring. It's not the spark plug, it's not the coil pack, it's not the wiring harness for the coils. Cylinder can't be getting fuel. Injector is the prime suspect then and I don't want to pay for that

 

Thanks, it defiantly feels good for it to be done. Now that the kids are a bit more independent my wife is happy to help and it’s greatly appreciated. I’ll be where your at some day with my kids junk. Sounds like it’s time to have a hard talk with the boy?
