It just reached 70 about 1/2 hour ago. I'm headed back outdoors now.

Let me tell you, if it weren’t for our sons this would never have gotten done. I haven’t got the energy or will to do much anymore. I’ll supervise and help a bit, but I can’t do much more than a few minutes work at a time. I keep forgetting to tell myself you’re getting older you fool and you can’t do what you used to anymore. That and the arthritis took away all the fun.

    Hope you’re doing well, Larry.

Travelled to the tree farm last night. It has been a beautiful day so far. Wife and I are heading to a nice restaurant in Owensboro to celebrate her 60th tonight.

could see our breathing this morning. Fall is approaching.

If you enjoy doing it and the wood is plentiful, why not make a few bucks? Are yo just out of room or getting lazy in your old age? :BrianK:

I spent some time in the woods this afternoon cutting up some dead red oak. My son commes this coming weekend and he can muscle them out of the woods and to my wood splitting area. I hope to get more wood cut this week so he can be busy on Saturday. I gotta buy the beer.

Caffeine going in. We received a little rain last evening late. Looks like it will be another nice day here today. A high of 70 expected. Yesterday was very nice. Unfortunately I have been putting a little extra time in at the enjoyment center, but it helps the bank account. You firewood hoarders have some fun today and stay safe.:wacky:

Yup, we are heading home in a few hours and start the same. Hopefully get 3 cord in and stacked this afternoon and tomorrow. By next Sunday hopefully all 8 are done. Seems to be a thing around here that Labor Day starts the fire wood migration.

Too bad that for many its the migration of "seasoned" wood right into the 2020/2021 stacks! :hair: :deadhorse:

See so many that get wood in the summer dumped in a pile on the lawn, starting to put it up for the winter. Don’t even bother trying to say anything, that stuff is dry and burns great. Or it might become too dry and burn too hot. I cut a load last winter, got it hauled home after the roads in-posted and we could get a truck in to get it. I’ll start on that in a couple weeks and won’t see it for at least 2 more years, likely 3.
