I went back to old faithful. She’s hungry but there isn’t much to break. I kinda knew the stove from Lowe’s wasn’t going to be the answer but I had no experience with anything but a smoke dragon. We noticed a difference in wood consumption and burn times so now the wife is more on board with spending some money. I am Seriously considering an indoor boiler with storage. The idea of batch burning and using the radiators that are in place is quite appealing.

45$ for 4 hours. Well worth it in my mind.

I’ll never look back on buying my boiler. I have a lot to heat with the house and garage and do it on 7-8 cord. It’s an investment for sure but one I have been happy with. We replaced a central outdoor boiler and there is no comparison. Better consistent heat and 1/2 plus the amount of wood burned. I’m no expert by any means but I will gladly walk you through what I did and why. Many others here have different systems and setups.

A craigslister is coming to look at the stove today. I hope it sells, at this point I’m ready to give it away to free the space in the garage.

On Wednesday the guy made an appointment to come look Saturday at 9am. Not a preferred time for me but hey I want it gone. He calls at 9 and says he isn’t coming. Inconsiderate people suck.

Right but someone with half a brain would have called yesterday so the other person wouldn’t waste their Saturday morning.

That’s a wrap folks. The stove sold. Kid showed up looked at it for 30 seconds and said he would take it. Handed over cash. I asked him if he knew anything about stoves he said he used one in a weekend cabin with a buddy 10 years ago. He pushed some junk around his work van and we loaded it up he immediately closed the doors. I asked if he wanted a strap he said he was good:rofl: ! I told him to be safe with it and he was on his way.

    sionara summers heat!

It was really taking up some valuable space in the garage.

Sorry to hear about your stove issues Warner. Hopefully you make out better next time. Glad your wife saw the light about investing in a more efficient wood burner. That’s a definite win!
