Came late to a Facebook posting for some Locust. Ended up with mostly branches which are mainly small diameter and pretty twisted. Homeowner did say though that he’ll be taking down this 15 to 16 foot trunk . He said he would text me when it’s down and I could come by and cut it up and split it on site. This trunk is at least 3 ft diameter. Lots of poison ivy it, so I plan on scrubbing up good after working on it.
Looks good to me. Everyone’s different but a shower after poison ivy works for me. One time I waited too long and learned that lesson all over again LOL Good score.
Poison ivy season is just another name for summer. I feel like i get a little bit of poison ivy most weekends.

I'm with you. Given how sensitive I am to Poison Ivy, I would not be able to touch that wood. Even if I managed to process it without getting some rash, it would come back to bite me later; either when moving the splits or loading the stove.
Buy yourself a bottle of TecNu, use it like the directions say, it will defiantly lessen the affects of poison ivy/oak.
There is a product called Ivy Block that is applied like sunscreen, before exposure, it's suppose to keep you from getting poison ivy. I've never used it because I'm immune to poison ivy. Nice catch on the locust!
I’ve been scrubbing up with soap and water and face cloth after likely PI exposure. I saw a video that says that if you scrub up fairly vigorously with a wash cloth soap and water you should avoid the rash. I have to say it’s worked very well for me. In the past I’d just wash up with soap and no wash cloth. The wash cloth is supposed to be the difference. Been on prednisone a couple times, but the soap and “vigorous friction” of the wash cloth has prevented any big issues in spite of having been in PI.
